We are sensitive to the impact that the current COVID-19 pandemic is having. We are still planning to go ahead with #IP2020 in September, but it is likely that deadline for abstracts will be extended.
We are monitoring the situation closely & any updates will be posted here.
Last year we introduced the DIPC day which was targeted at both aspiring and senior infection control leaders; the feedback on this one-day stream was so positive that we have decided to bring it back for IP2020. This day is tailored towards senior members of the infection control and will look at providing the necessary knowledge to help with the various challenges these professionals experience in day to day life. The programme will not only focus on the already apparent struggles of the more senior job roles, but it will also aim to provide an in-depth development of the qualities necessary for aspiring leaders. Main conference attendees can enter these sessions, however, if you wish to attend only the DIPC day, you must register separately.
This event will focus on the challenges that care home professionals face on a daily basis, while also examining the latest evidence and applications of practice within the field. This day will be of relevance to all staff and, in particular, those senior staff with accountability for infection prevention within their organisation. Main conference attendees can enter these sessions, however, if you wish to attend only the Care Home Day, you must register separately.
