Research & Development Committee (R&D)

The R&D Committee helps the Infection Prevention Society (IPS) achieve its goals by focusing on improving and promoting research in infection prevention (IP). The committee works to ensure that IP practices are supported by solid evidence and are widely used. It also helps build research capacity and support for those working in the field of infection prevention. 

What the Committee Does 

The committee oversees important IPS projects, including:

  • IPS Research/Quality Improvement Project (QIP) Grants: These grants support research and quality improvement projects led by IPS members. [link]
  • IPS R&D Support: The committee leads and supports educational webinars to support infection prevention research and practice.
  • IPS R&D Research Projects: The committee leads and can signpost to support for various research projects that aim to improve infection prevention practices. [link]
