Alcohol Wipes in Disinfection

When do you use 70% alcohol wipes for disinfection on surfaces or equipment?

And what area do you work in?

Hi Lydia,
It’s always recommended to check out the Instructions For Use (IFU for any equipment or device) or go onto the Manufacturers website, which should be updated more frequently, to help guide you on which products can be used for cleaning and disinfecting of their devices.

Surfaces don’t tend to come with instructions (counter tops etc.) but if you check the packaging on your current wipes, they should say if they can be used on non-porous surfaces.

It’s important to note that if/when you are using 70% alcohol, it is the disinfectant and should only be used once you have cleaned the area/device with a surfactant first.

Happy to discuss this further.
