There is no any other high level manual disinfection wipes system which is in line with traceability requirements. The Tristel Trio Wipes system comes with traceability books or 3T electronic application. There are other semi-automated method which are effective for semi invasive ultrasounds probes such as UVC ( Germitex, Lumicare) and Hydro peroxide (Trophon). For any semi- automated high level disinfection method the pre-cleaning wipe is required.

We’ve had many years of experience using Tristel Duo for vaginal ultrasound probes and have found it to be a very practical solution. It’s easy to use, compatible with the probes (we haven’t experienced device damage), and allows for good traceability when protocols are followed. Importantly, it has also proven activity against HPV, which is a key consideration for us.

We are also familiar with the TROPHON EPR system, which is effective, but the cycle time and workflow demands are significantly higher compared to wipes.

Overall, Tristel Duo solution has worked well for our needs in terms of safety, efficiency and effectiveness.
