Soft / fabric toys used in childrens services

Has anybody encountered the use of soft/ fabric toys used in children’s services. It appears that the use of such toys is a requirement for parts of the service. If so, how have you risked assess the issue / how do you tackle the issue of decontaminating such toys, what processes.
Thank you

Ian

Hi Ian, my trust uses fabric dolls/toys as part of therapy and these are allocated to the child and kept in a named bag/box for the entire time of their therapy. At the end of their therapy and upon discharge the toy is offered to the child to take home with them (supporting how far they have come with their therapy) or it is discarded (normally dontated to a charity shop).

hope this helps
