REDUCING AVOIDABLE INFECTIONS

The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) is the premiere professional organisation in Europe for nurses involved in infection prevention and control. With c2000 members in the United Kingdom and Ireland the views of the Society are taken seriously by the Government, industry, the NHS and all those associated with programmes to reduce avoidable infection.

COMMERCIAL SUPPORT

The IPS Board acknowledges that the support it receives from commercial organisations is crucial to sustaining and further developing its position as a scientific educational body and its ability to influence opinion and thinking at home and around the world. Using this Endorsement Programme supports that aim and also helps sustain and further strengthen the IPS brand around the world.

ENDORSEMENT PROGRAMMES

The IPS have two Endorsement Programmes – one for technologies and products and the other for education and training programmes. In both cases commercial organisations can submit details to an IPS Expert Panel via this web site and an evaluation will be undertaken against the published criteria shown on the How it Works page. If the Panel are satisfied that the information provided meets the standards required then approval will allow details of the approved technology/product or training/education programme to be hosted on this site and the use of the coveted Endorsement Logo permitted

Education & Training

IPS endorsement of education and training material produced by commercial and other organisations can assist in enhancing and developing knowledge and skills across the health and social care interface.
