Evonne’s career in infection control began in late 1987, having worked as the lead on the outbreak programme of work at Health Protection Scotland, Evonne is now an independent nurse consultant for Infection Prevention and Control. Optimising outbreak: prevention, preparedness, detection and management is Evonne’s main area of interest within infection control. Her doctorate focused on safety issues associated with infusate contamination. Evonne is also the past co-ordinator of the RnD group for IPS and rather importantly, Evonne 22 Outbreak Columns for the Journal of Infection Prevention.
