Fiona Branton

Head of Infection Prevention and Control, Nottingham CityCare

Fiona Branton is the Infection Prevention and Control Lead for CityCare, Nottingham’s Lead provider for community based services. Fiona also advises GP practices along with the Local Authority in relation to care homes and supported living facilities.

She has 21 years’ experience in Infection Prevention and Control, setting up the community based service in Nottingham in 1999 and leading the team from this date.

Her particular interest in home hygiene has developed over this time and in 2018 she contributed to the International Scientific Forum on Home Hygiene publication Prevention of infection at home and in everyday life: learning and training resource.
