Principal Educator, Antimicrobial Resistance & Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) NHS Education for Scotland
Sofie currently works as a Principal Educator for NHS Education for Scotland as part of the ARHAI Team, developing national IPC educational resources for health and social care staff across Scotland. She has been an IPC nurse specialist for 10 years, working in three territorial NHS Boards and two national NHS Boards. She has master’s degree in IPC from the University of the Highlands and Islands (2018) and has a keen interest in innovative educational delivery. During her national appointments she has been part of the Scottish COVID-19 Pandemic Response and supported the operationalising of the Scottish Nightingale Hospital, NHS Louisa Jordan. Sofie is currently a member of the Infection Prevention Society Education and Professional Development Committee (EPDC).
