reusable continence products

We have been asked by our continence team as to whether there is any known infection prevention and control issues relating to reusable continence products. They are considering these products from a sustainability perspective. 
Does any settings use them and does anyone have any literature around this.

    We have discussed this and have looked at the issues regarding the processing/laundering of these products. This may be suitable for patients in their own homes but they would be laundering the products themselves.
