Training sessions for Care Home Link IPC staff members
I'm developing a group of staff in my organisations care homes to become Link IPC staff members - I'm putting together a lesson plan for 1 hour sessions over a few weeks and also giving them a resource folder. Has anyone any advice, suggestions or ideas for sessions or what I can put in their folder please. Thanks

Just a thought but you might want to a welcome pack together and put something in that explains what the role is about, what support you will provide and what you expect from them in return such as mini audit returns, sharing back into the link meetings, diseminating knowledge, training or updates to their peers.

We have also recently started up a Lead IPC support group.
So far we have done the basics:
PPE
CPE
MRSA
C.diff & feedback from PIR
Ecoli - hydration/cleanliness & feedback from any local PIR
Medication safety- cold chain etc
Environmental cleaning
Talking about available general IPC guidance & what is out there for them to read or available additional training
We are trying to respond to the requests from the homes rather than having a plan at the moment as we have only recently been given the care homes within our remit
