About
I have been a Registered Nurse for nearly 30 years. My career has been varied and interesting and mainly focused on community, including Practice Nursing and School Nursing. I became an IPC practitioner 6 months before the start of the pandemic, working in the local Integrated Care Board to support GP Practices and Care Homes. During this time, I recognised my passion for IPC and therefore commenced my MSc at the University of West London. I moved to a community and mental health trust, which provided me with a different IPC experience, and different challenges. Having completed my MSc, I now work with Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Foundation Trust as an IPC Specialist Nurse. I believe that IPC is fundamental to the wellbeing and safety of patients and staff. I always endeavour to support staff to deliver evidence based practice and provide quality patient focused care.
