My name is Kerry Wynn and my current role is that of Senior IPC Nurse Clinical Nurse Educator at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. (STSFT)
I have worked in the same organisation since my Registered Nurse Training from 1992 and qualified in 1995.
My background is care of the Elderly Medicine and Emergency Care.
I joined the IPC Team in 2010 as a Surveillance Nurse and then a Band 6 IPCN in 2006.
In 2022 a band 7 project Nurse secondment role was developed in the team to focus on reducing gram negative blood stream infections. This led to the permanent role of the IPC Clinical Nurse Educator in 2024.
