Teams should show clear evidence of improved outcomes, such as:
- Reduced healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs).
- Improved compliance with IPC measures.
- Enhanced patient or staff experience.
- Improvements in patient and public safety.
Applications should demonstrate how data, audit findings or quality improvement approaches have been used to drive change.
Innovation and improvement
Judges will be looking for examples of:
- Introducing new ways of working.
- Applying evidence-based practice creatively.
- Adapting to challenges with resilience and flexibility.
Inspiring others
Strong applications will show how the team has:
- Supported the wider IPC workforce.
- Shared learning locally, regionally or nationally.
- Contributed to a culture of safety, learning and continuous improvement.
