We’re pleased to announce that Fiona Tordoff has been appointed as our new Chief Executive.
Fiona brings a strong track record of strategic leadership and organisational development, with experience of working closely with boards, members and partners to strengthen impact and influence. She is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and holds a Diploma from the Institute of Directors.
At a time when infection prevention, sustainability and patient safety are of increasing importance across health and care, Fiona’s appointment marks an important step for the Society.
In her role as Chief Executive, Fiona will focus on strengthening the Society’s influence, supporting members, and ensuring our work translates into real impact across the system.
IPS Chair, Professor Steve Hams MBE, said: “Fiona brings clarity, experience and a strong sense of purpose. She understands how to work with members, partners and the wider system to ensure the Society’s work makes a tangible difference. We are delighted to welcome her and look forward to the next phase of the Society’s development under her leadership.”
We look forward to working with Fiona as we continue to develop our role as a leading voice in infection prevention.
