We wanted to update you on recent discussions that have taken place regarding the London branches of IPS.
The London North branch officers have recently stepped down from their roles after several years and we are extremely grateful to them for extending their terms of office to support the branch.
Calls have gone out for expressions of interest to take on the officer roles but unfortunately, we have had no volunteers come forward and there are no officers of the branch. This has therefore been a chance to review the structure to ensure it best serves everyone. In discussion with the London South Branch Officers and the England Country Lead on the IPS Clinical Leadership and Engagement Committee, we have agreed to combine the London North and London South branches into one branch. Where over recent years the annual branch conferences have been merged together, this reflects how things have been working. In addition, with many branch meetings now taking place virtually rather than in-person, there is not the restrictions that we would have seen in the past for members travelling long distances to attend.
We are delighted to confirm that the London Branch Officers, who were all currently in post as the London South Branch Officers, will be:
- Branch Coordinator: Annette Jeanes
- Branch Deputy Coordinator: Sarah Hamed
- Branch Communications Officer: Berina Kaur
All three have agreed to see out their terms of office as the London Branch Officers.
