IPS Terms of Reference

Terms of Reference (ToR) are guidelines that explain why a group exists and how it works. They set out what the group aims to do, who is involved, and what their roles are. Terms of Reference help keep a group organised and focused on its goals.

Our ToR usually include:

  • What the group is set up to achieve.
  • What tasks the group and its members need to do.
  • Who is in the group and what their roles are.
  • How often the group meets and how decisions are made.
  • Who the group reports to and how they share their progress.
