We invite you to submit an abstract showcasing a project that has improved vascular access practice or patient care. Whether your work is a local initiative, service improvement or larger quality improvement programme, we’d love to hear about it. This is your opportunity to share your experience, inspire colleagues and contribute to improving vascular access practice.

Presentation opportunities
The two highest-scoring abstracts will be selected for a 15-minute oral presentation during the conference.
Poster presentations will not be included at this year’s conference.
If you are selected to present, members of the organising committee will be happy to provide support and guidance in preparing your presentation.
Abstract guidelines
Abstract length: 300–500 words
Your abstract should include:
- Background
- Aim
- Methods
- Outcomes
- Key learning
- Conclusion
Assessment criteria
Abstracts will be assessed against the following criteria:
- Be your own original work
- Declare any previous presentation or publication
- Confirm that all necessary permissions, organisational approvals and ethical approval (where required) have been obtained
- Declare any relevant interests, including affiliations with or representation of commercial organisations

Review process
All abstracts will be reviewed by the IPS IV Forum Management Group. Any member with a conflict of interest will declare it and will not participate in the assessment of the relevant submission.
Authors of the two successful abstracts will be notified by email by 23 October 2026 and will then have time to prepare their 15-minute PowerPoint presentation for the conference.
