External examiner – Infection Prevention and Control – University of West London

The College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare is seeking to appoint an external examiner for our newly re-approved PG Cert and MSc Infection Prevention and Control.

Applicants will need to have an understanding of the specialist practice of infection prevention and control in health and social care settings.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced lecturers. All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment. Tenure will normally be for a period of four years.

Public Health Practitioner/ Nurse (Health Protection)

Bury Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Public Health Practitioner/Nurse (Health Protection) to join our Public Health team. This is a vital role in protecting the health and wellbeing of Bury residents by providing expert infection prevention and control (IPC) and health protection advice and supporting the management of communicable diseases across a range of settings.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary Health Protection Team, supporting the Head of Health Protection and Consultant in Public Health in delivering a wide range of health protection activities. This includes IPC audits, outbreak response, surveillance, training, and developing local policies and procedures.
