The Independent High Risk AGP Panel released recommendations on 11th January. These are based on a review of the available evidence on medical procedures which do not currently meet the current World Health Organization (WHO) definition for high risk AGPs e.g. NG tube insertion, suctioning, some ENT procedures. The summary of recommendations is supported by a background briefing document detailing the context for decision making related to risk of COVID-19 and an international review of AGP lists in other countries with comparable healthcare systems. The Independent Panel includes two IPC practitioners (Jennie Wilson and Melanie Burden) as well as microbiologists, virologists and clinicians. You can see the documents here.
