Andrew qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1988 and became a Senior IV Nurse in 1995. Recently retired from the NHS, his career combined clinical practice, education, research and leadership, with a strong focus on improving vascular access and infusion therapy.
His achievements include establishing a hospital-wide vascular access team, developing a community IV service and creating the Visual Infusion Phlebitis (VIP) score for monitoring peripheral IV sites.
An accomplished international speaker, Andrew has lectured extensively across Europe, Australia and China, and explored community IV services in New Zealand through a travel scholarship.
As founder and CEO of IVTEAM, Andrew continues to support the vascular access and infusion therapy community, most recently through the launch of IV Journal.
