About
My name is Briony Wilkinson, and I have been employed by Leeds Community Healthcare (LCH) as a Registered Nurse since 2016. I joined LCH immediately upon qualifying and have always been passionate about working within community settings.
I began my career as a Staff Nurse within the Neighbourhood nursing teams, where I developed a broad range of clinical skills. During this time, I also undertook the role of Infection Prevention and Control Champion.
In 2018, I joined the LCH Infection Prevention and Control team, where I have remained since. My current role is varied; however, I currently co lead on the community team’s portfolio. This includes working with healthcare professionals across the city of Leeds to ensure safe IPC practice.
I have a strong interest in public health and particularly value the health promotion aspect of the IPC role.
