Dr Emmanuel Babafemi is a biomedical scientist with international experience in laboratory medicine in Africa and NHS England for over three decades. He is Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences of Health Education, Policing and Science at University of Staffordshire.
His research interest is in Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Chemotherapy. Some of his recent research work is on Antimicrobial Resistance and Antimicrobial Stewardship. He participated on LabSkills Africa project by the Royal College of Pathologists London for Improving Laboratory Medicine as lead for Infectious Diseases and Technical Skills curriculum (2014-2016).
He has published articles in reputable journals. He is a lead visitor for the Health and Care Professions Council; a Fellow, Chartered Scientist and Mentor, Institute of Biomedical Science; a Fellow, Advance Higher Education; a member, Microbiology Society; and a delegated member of the Royal College of Pathologists London. He has extensive knowledge, expertise and experience in Infection Prevention and Control.
