Dr Phil Norville has over 15 years experience working in microbiology and IPC and holds a Masters in IPC and a PhD in Microbiology. Phil has worked in various IPC roles in both the public and private sector, including working as Clinical and Scientific Director for one of the world’s leading IPC companies as well as IPC lead and manager for one of the UK’s largest NHS University Teaching Hospitals. Phil currently works as a research fellow at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School as part of the Green Healthcare Hub. Phil’s research is focused on supporting the reuse of medical devices and products to reduce the reliance on single use items in healthcare.
