Emma is a Principal Climate Change Scientist based in the Climate and Health Assessment Team at the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). She works on a range of topics related to the health impacts from climate change but predominantly vector-borne and infectious diseases and mental health. She led the publication of the Health Effects of Climate Change in the UK report in 2023 and was a lead author on the vector-borne disease, infectious disease and drought chapters. She is a lead author for the infectious disease risk in the health chapter of the 4th Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA), which will be published later in May 2026. She also co-led a thematic report on climate change impacts on mental health in the UK, which was published in November 2025.
