Ginny Edwards has more than 40 years’ experience of working in healthcare. She has held both executive and non-executive Director level posts in the NHS, Department of Health, and the independent sector. She has delivered several high-profile national improvement programmes, including as Director of the Critical Care Programme and as Head of Targeted Support for the National Reducing Health Care Associated Infections. Ginny has been an invited speaker at national and international conferences. Through the Covid 19 pandemic she supervised teams to deliver vaccines to staff and the public. For the last 15 years she had had a portfolio career which has included 15 years board experience in the Charity and Voluntary sector.
Ginny’s expertise lies in creating and leading highly effective multidisciplinary teams of clinicians and leaders. Supporting, coaching, and mentoring leaders in their career development. Change and service improvement at both national and local level in public and private health care. Facilitating organisations which are undertaking transformation change. Participating in governance and service improvement reviews. Coaching directors and their teams to develop highly effective teams and individuals.
Ginny’s current consultancy work includes coaching and mentoring board level leaders as well as staff at all levels in health care organisations and preparing clients for executive and non-executive board appointments.
Ginny has been A Non-Executive Director, Chair of West Herts NHS Trust Quality and Safety Committee, NED for Freedom to Speak up, Corporate Trustee of RAISE West Herts NHS charity, Vice Chair of Peace Hospice Care, Vice Chair of Hertsmere Citizens Advice and is currently Vice Chair of the Infection Prevention Society, Vice Patron and Corporate Ambassador for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, Volunteer for West Herts NHS Trust, she is a member of the West Herts Charity committee, and is part of their Senior Coach faculty and Freedom to Speak up Champion.
Outside of her work Ginny is a Trustee of Reveley Lodge Trust a Grade II listed Victorian house and public gardens, President of her local WI, Member of Hertswood Rotary Club, and a member of Mead Quilters.
She is a Director of Edwards Consulting Ltd. Ginny is a registered general nurse, ICF accredited coach, MBTI
and assessor and has completed the Harvard Kennedy School, course in Leadership, Organising and Action.
